Plattsburgh State University of New York is a comprehensive, coeducational, public institution within the State University of New York.

Plattsburgh�s primary emphasis is on undergraduate education. More than 30 academic departments offer a wide range of programs and courses in the liberal arts and professional studies to approximately 5,000 students. Graduate programs are important in addressing regional needs including support of school systems and sustaining economic development. More than 700 graduate students act as intellectual stimuli for the departments and enhance the College�s academic atmosphere.

Known for its strong academic tradition and reputation for quality, Plattsburgh State embraces two primary themes responsible for the success of our students: excellence in learning through excellence in teaching and scholarship; and a commitment to preparing students to become professionals with a strong foundation in the liberal arts.
